2024: A Year of Steady and Sure Progress

2024 is now down to its final week.
Every year at this time, I take a moment to reflect on the past year. Once again, I feel strongly that “this has been an even more fulfilling and growth-filled year than usual.” Since taking on new challenges like starting my own business and raising a child, each day has felt far more meaningful compared to my single, corporate life (laughs).


Personal Challenges: Growth Through Mountain Climbing

Last year, I started a monthly tradition of low-altitude mountain climbing. This year, it evolved into a full-fledged passion as I tackled over 50 peaks, including iconic mountains like the Northern Alps and Yatsugatake. While I initially struggled with blisters and muscle pain, the breathtaking views and sense of accomplishment made it all worthwhile.

Through these experiences, I not only improved my physical strength and endurance but also rediscovered the importance of taking things “one step at a time.” I feel I’ve become healthier and stronger both physically and mentally over the past year.

Business Progress: Achievements Built With the Team

It has also been a year of significant achievements for SOPHOLA.

  • Amazon Ad Optimization Solution: m19
    The number of clients using m19 grew to nearly 200. Strengthened PR efforts and enhanced support systems allowed us to effectively communicate its value, contributing significantly to maximizing clients’ sales and improving operational efficiency.
  • Marketplace Management Platform: MerchantSpring
    New feature releases, such as LTV analysis and repeat purchase insights, attracted significant attention from agencies. This was a great learning opportunity, showing how new features can transform market interest.
  • Markopolo AI Japan: A New Chapter
    In April, we established SOPHOLA’s first subsidiary, Markopolo AI Japan, and are currently collaborating with Markopolo’s leadership to develop Japan’s first AI-driven digital marketing platform. While there are still challenges to overcome, I’m confident that delivering the necessary features will bring unprecedented value to the Japanese market. These achievements were only possible thanks to the support of everyone who has walked this journey with us. I’m deeply grateful to all of you.


Looking Ahead to 2025: Step by Step

2024 was a year where I embraced the theme of “steadily and surely.” I plan to carry this mindset forward into 2025 as I take on new challenges and continue to grow both personally and professionally.
