Taking stock of the progress so far

As I mentioned in my last blog post I detailed some of the marketing events and campaigns that SOPHOLA will be participating in this year. The few weeks have included a lot preparation for these events and, in particular, synthesising the past months’ work into a single coherent whole. This process of bringing together our services, technology and track record and being able to communicate them in a simple way has been an invaluable experience.

The beginning of this process was the creation of an eBook for our campaign on ClickZ.com. For the eBook to work, we needed to boil down the Japan Market Entry service into a simple message.

The result was “Cracking the Japanese Market – A guide to the Japanese e-commerce market”.

Overall, I’m happy with how this turned out but now I can see a road map for the JME service where this is simplified even further.

In addition, I needed to prepare similar material for the event we will be attending in Singapore the week after next.

This summarising and synthesising has fed into other aspects of our activities. In the past 2 weeks we have pitched these services 5 new leads and this pitching has been greatly improved by this clearer message around the services, pricing and implementation.

I’m really excited about the latest developments, the positive response to our recent pitches and the new possible leads that will come out of our marketing efforts this month. In particular I’m excited about developing the JME service to make it more streamlined and scalable.
