The Institute of Integrative Intelligence (III) and SOPHOLA, Inc. are pleased to announce the official launch of III’s website at integrative-intelligence.org.

III was established in April 2026, the first paper was published in an international peer-reviewed journal by Springer Nature in May, and now the website is live. Looking back, it’s remarkable how much has taken shape over these past few months.

When I first began developing the concept of Integrative Intelligence, I won’t pretend I was certain it would ever find its way into the world as a formal theory. I have no academic background in psychology, no university affiliation, no research institute behind me — just one practitioner, quietly accumulating records of his own judgment and dialogue over many years. That this work has now been published in an international peer-reviewed journal is something I still find a little hard to believe.

But perhaps that’s exactly the point. The posture of a practitioner building theory is itself what Integrative Intelligence is trying to describe — the idea that theory and practice are not separate things, and never really were. If research born from mountaineering, AI dialogue, and everyday judgment can hold up in an academic context, that feels like a small proof of something worth continuing to explore.

This is still just the beginning. Paper 1 has been published, Paper 2 is currently under peer review at an international journal, and work on Paper 3 and beyond is underway. This website is where we’ll share that ongoing work — research updates, publications, and reflections — as it continues to develop.

In an era where AI is increasingly mediating human judgment, how do we preserve the depth and agency of human thought? That question is what III exists to pursue. We hope you’ll take a look at the site.
